I'm Charlotte and I established Pure Red began 2005. To work with the belief of combining an ancient medicine using acupuncture and herbs, to benefit people of today. My approach is wholistic, giving time and understanding to each client I see.
I hold a BSc degree in Acupuncture, and a post graduate diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine. I've over 20 years experience. A member of the AAC (Association of Acupuncture Clinicians) along with the RCHM ( Register ofChinese Herbal Medicine)
I offer treatments from a private practice in Galleywood, Chelmsford, within a very peaceful setting. Easy access from the A12 and off street parking.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is for everyone. It works to restore the natural balance of health in the body, and to maintain optimum health. It has been used in the east to promote good health for thousands of years.
Today, many people find acupuncture offers an effective treatment for modern day health concerns and a busy lifestyle. It's widely used in the UK and many other countries across the world. Acupuncture is the most tried and tested form of complementary medicine, providing safe and effective care.
I see many conditions each week in clinic. I have a special interest and expertise in natural fertility support, women's health and pain. Including menopause, perimenopause, period problems.
Migraines, digestive concerns, muscular pain.
I also treat children and babies using a Japanese style of acupuncture, called Shonishin. Using a no needle technique that is very effective for sleep, digestive, skin and behaviour issues.
Traditional acupuncture uses the philosophy and theories inherent in Chinese Medicine. When there is no disease or illness, it is said the energy of the body (Qi) is free flowing. When there is an imbalance of Qi, disease and illness may develop. It is the job of the acupuncturist, and the needles to correct this imbalance and to support a free flow of Qi. The Qi flows through channels beneath the skin; most of the acupuncture points are positioned on these channels.
Factors that upset the free flow of Qi for example, are emotional states, such as grief, anger, poor nutrition, overwork, hereditary factors, trauma and infections. Fine, sterile needles are inserted into the acupuncture points to stimulate the free flow of Qi, and therefore awaken the body’s own healing response and restore it natural balance.
Each person is treated individually, which means no two people with the same illness will have the same treatment, it is tailored to you only. Treatment is aimed to reach the root of your condition, as well as your symptoms. The result can lead to a more permanent resolution of your problems.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese Herbal Medicine is part of a long tradition, with a recorded history of over two thousand years. In China it is practised alongside western medicine in state hospitals to treat a wide range of conditions.
Based upon the principle that good health is dependant on optimum vitality and balance. It has been practiced in the UK since the 1980s and has expanded and gained in popularity.
Herbal Medicine is prescribed in traditional tea form, a powder to make into a tea, tablets, or external creams and ointments, accordingly for each person.
It involves using a combination of herbs designed to correct the particular disharmony of the patient, this formula may well change and adapt as the treatment progresses. Each formula is hand made and bespoke for each patient.
It is important to note that there are strict UK guidelines, no animal or mineral products are used. The safety standards of growing and importing of herbs follows rigorous rules also.

I offer acupuncture and herbal medicine treatments from a private practice located in Galleywood, Chelmsford (CM2 8PJ), within a very peaceful setting. The practice is easily accessible from the A12, with convenient off-street parking available.
I welcome clients from Chelmsford, Galleywood, Ingatestone, Brentwood, Witham, and the surrounding Essex areas.
